Gaierhof stands on the hill of Roverè delle Luna, surrounded by the mountains of the Valle dell’Adige. The company’s German name comes from the mountain it faces, the “Gaier”. With Gaierhof, Luigi Togn has dedicated himself for many years, along with his daughters and son-in-law, to the production of Trentino wines, which are fermented in house. The first Trentodoc sparkling wine to bear the Gaierhof label is called Siris and is produced purely from Chardonnay grapes, which are hand picked from vineyards high on the hill. The climate and the extreme temperature changes favour the perfect ripening of the Chardonnay, retaining strong acidity and the aroma of the grapes.
Made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes grown in vineyards in the hills of Pressano and Alta Val di Cembra, rested on its lees for 36 months to build up structure, elegance and complexity. These qualities make this wine the perfect partner to any meal.
Thanks to their close friendship developed over the years, in 2009, as lovers of metodo classico sparkling wine, they started to produce it, almost for fun.
