Zeni Roberto bought Maso Nero in 1988, an old farmhouse located on the wine route of the Avis hills, a natural window on the nearby Campo Rotaliano. As the old stories would have it, the farm was once inhabited by a gang of thieves and they would start great fires inside, which were sometimes so big that black soot covered the ceiling. From this legend comes the name “Maso Nero”, or black farmhouse, as does the Zeni family’s desire to use it as the name for their Trentodoc wine.
Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Blanc grapes are vinified under strict conditions to make the Maso Nero Riserva – 46 months, Maso Nero Rosé and a Zero Dosage 100% Pinot Blanc, unique among Trentodoc wines.
Maso Nero Dosaggio Zero
MASO NERO DOSAGGIO ZERO
An extremely rare example of Trentodoc made from 100% Pinot Blanc grapes. This variety from the Sorni hills has a great aromatic intensity. This is still true after 24 months on its lees, without any added liqueur. This Trentodoc is waiting to be discovered.
Maso Nero Riserva
MASO NERO RISERVA
The decision was made to create a highly structured Riserva that had real substance and rich organoleptic qualities. The vanilla and chocolate float together, mingling with the other wonderful, much sought after notes typical of TRENTODOC wines.
Maso Nero Rosé
MASO NERO ROSÉ
The maturation of this label lasts a good forty-two months. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay contribute in equal measure to create a very special Rosé that can be paired with different dishes, such as starters of cold cuts, fish soups or matured cheeses.
